Voluntary registration walkthrough

Obtain a copy of your title deeds

Your application must contain sufficient information to allow us to identify any mortgages, servitude rights or conditions which affect your property. If you are unsure of these, you can order a legal report to identify sasine register deeds which affect your property.

If you don’t already have your deeds, you can order copies of deeds from Registers of Scotland’s customer services, or obtain them from your solicitor or mortgage lender.

For detailed guidance on deeds you need to submit for a voluntary registration, read voluntary registration-specific criteria.
