The Scottish Professional Support Lawyers Group have prepared an article on the potential application of the duties under the Register of Persons Holding a Controlled Interest in Land regulations 2021.
It has been prepared in the hope that it will assist practitioners, and others using the RCI in getting to grips with the requirements of the Regulations. Registers of Scotland has worked on this article with the Scottish Property Professional Support Lawyers Group.
This article contains additional examples of the requirements for registration in and the operation of the RCI, and where registration would not be required. The article also highlights other issues to be aware of and is a useful point of more detailed reference.
